Auctioneer Carsten Saure (*1973) studied business mathematics at the TU Darmstadt and founded the auction house Saure after graduating in 1999.
He is regarded as the expert in the field of "Wiking models". He published his knowledge in 2008 in the "Wiking Manual of Old Models", which is considered a standard work.
The offices are located in the Cologne district of Mülheim and are well suited for travel by car. Free parking is usually available in the immediate vicinity.
The hall auctions take place in the Liebfrauensaal rented for this purpose. It is located in the heart of Cologne-Mülheim at Adamsstraße 21 and is easily accessible by public transport through the nearby subway station Wiener Platz. There are numerous free parking spaces in its immediate vicinity.
A small charity auction of donated Wiking models is held as part of each Christmas auction. Since the foundation of the auction house, more than 73000 Euros have been passed on to social projects.
In the first years, the proceeds were used to support a Brazilian street children project. Since 2012 the auction results will be sent to the Cologne organisation wünschdirwas e.V. which enables seriously ill children to fulfil special wishes.
